The joy of waiting

Things have actually happened since I last posted anything.  On December 28th my grandpa passed away after 6 months of hospice care at home.  The next few weeks were a blur of cleaning, meeting, eating (this is what our family does really well any time we get together), and preparing for his funeral.  I started my religion class at WCC, but the French class I signed up for was cancelled.  Just as well, since there seem to be more Eastern Europe opportunities, which might mean learning Russian.  The Wind in the Willows ate up a lot of my time, but it was a lot of fun.  Now I’m working on my fourth “last show”:  Mulan, Miss Saigon, Wind in the Willows, and now Curtains, which is playing over at Army Community Theatre.  This time I’m running spot light.  I’m still reading excessively and I’ve started wading through the piles in my room to see what I might want to take with me.

In news of the Peace Corps…still no news.  Not that I was really expecting any.  I’ll be contacting them in March to reactivate my status, and then I get to wait again to see where they might place me.  Believe me, once I know where I’m going, you’ll hear about it!
